Tania's Build Up Thread (2008 season)

Never really made one of these...
It'll keep me busy on my down time at work too.

You all know what it looks like in it's current state:

-h2Sport Stage 1 Spindles
-Seat Cupra lip
-new tires, Falken 452's
-Rear seats might get removed soon
-Cleaning up rear plate situation.

-B&G coils - ordered
-New rotors for the front - here
-S3 engine covers painted and installed - here/getting worked on
-original euro bumper getting fixed and painted

-New euro bumper - installed 7/17/08
-HID (drop in) - installed 7/11/08
-22k decals - done 7/17/08

I'll update the list as I get ish done.

Thanks guys.

But bad news....

I forgot to tell the shop to fill the bumper notch, and they aready painted it. No time to re-do it for Show n Go....so my old bumper will still be on.

This is what I get for rushing shit at the last minute.
They said they can do it, but I could only pick up the car tomorrow after work instead of today which means there will be no time to get the wheels on tomorrow.....so fuck it.

Shitty bumper it is.

yo T don't trip! your shit is a daily driver and it still looks better then some.. so called"show cars".... that just means you hit them harder at the big shows- eurothon,waterfest, and h2o

Better news!

We actually were able to pick up the car early this morning.

The old bumper is still on, but at least the dent on the quarter panel is gone. wohoo! She looks good again

Vic (my savior) is putting the rims on it as i tye this from work.

Now I feel really bad for not buying him these shirts he wanted yesterday when i went shopping with Gen

...... I'll have to make it up to him ;) haha

update 4/15/08

Next buy for the car will be the coils. My brother is also buying some for his rabbit, and it looks like Vic is getting a new set for his GTi. (major savings on shipping for all!). It should all be done by eurothon.

Right now I'm figuring out the rer seat situation. Trying to clean it up without going over the top-interior-makeover. It's still a daily so I need to keep it low profile.

HIDs were installed yesterday. Should have done it months ago. I've had them sitting for over 6 months!

So there were a few things I didn't finish.

Interior
Suspension

to mention the biggest two for '08.

So 2009 will have to do.

I have a bunch of maintenance stuff to do, bushings, bump stops, rotors, wheel bearings to mention a few, and during this maintenance I am going to do the following:

B&Gs installed
h2Sport Stage 1 Spindles
color match calipers front and rear
negative camber in the rear
smaller tires in the front if not the rear also (going back to Falken either way)
get the Recaro seats matching my interior
S3 covers installed
cupra lip installed

and *maybe (if money allows it) filled in door handles
custom floor from the rear seats to the trunk
and *maybe if money is growing on trees for 2009 or Obama wins or both... FI

Trade my seats and cash for these:

full set, front and back seats.

normally they are $750.00 plus $250.00 shipping,
Since this is a trade i'll only be paying a few hundred bucks plus my seats.
