The 6th Annual eurothon is behind us. This event is all about a good time, seeing friends that you haven't seen since last season and catching up. There were the usual People's Choice Awards and the Dr. Ferdinand Porsche PROPER Award going to "Cosmic Bunny" Ivan.
Empire City Raceway and Casino played host to some of the sickest euros from the area and beyond. We're already lined up for 2010. Hope to see you there!

Hello Forum,

So, VW finally answered the demands on having a more attainable TDI Touareg, versus the top end, higher priced V10.
Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the V6 3.0L TDI Touareg.

Starting at mid $43k, just $3,500 over the gas V6, it's a great deal right off the bat. MY2009 will most likely now reflect MY2010 as the deliveries have, in true VW form, been pushed to July. The MY2010 order guide for the VW Touareg V6 TDI is due out in May/June 2009.

Allthough I have not received assumed invoice pricing as of yet, the retail pricing looks very promising!

20010 VW Touareg V6 TDI
Base MSRP=$42800
Destination charge=$690

Lux Pkg=$2700
(upgrade to leather, wood trim, Bi-Xenon headlights with AFS II, 12-way power Pass seat)

Tech Pkg=$3350
(RNS510 Navigation System with MDI (touch screen with media device interface), Rear-View back up camera with Pask Assist)

Lux Plus pkg=$5400
Keyless Entry, Push star/stop, Premium Dynaudio System)

Rear locking Diff=$700

Trailer Hitch=$500

4 corner air suspension=$2750
(Included colored multi-function display)

----

VW is showing the horsepower as 221, and the torque at approximately 415. If towing, off roading, camping, or all of the above is your niche, then the V6 TDI is your ride of choice. I personally drove a gas V6 last year for a few weeks, and I was ready to sign on the "dotted" line. At the time, gas was through the roof, and at 80 bucks a tank twice a week, I was suffering the tug on the old wallet and backed out. Now with this TDI, maybe 80 bucks for a whole week? This will mean, however, that I will have to tow something, go camping, or off roading...!!

Whatever the case, I gleefully anticipate the V6 TDI.

Little update, Torque is officially at 445, not 415.
