Welcome
Welcome to the THREE.8.WERKS Forum. Login to access the message boards.

The 6th Annual eurothon is behind us. This event is all about a good time, seeing friends that you haven't seen since last season and catching up. There were the usual People's Choice Awards and the Dr. Ferdinand Porsche PROPER Award going to "Cosmic Bunny" Ivan.
Empire City Raceway and Casino played host to some of the sickest euros from the area and beyond. We're already lined up for 2010. Hope to see you there!

since i got it i have made LOTS of mistakes that are costing and also alot of painful mistakes. Just wanted to share some things since i am an amateur to the game, that i went thru since having this car....

-----2008-----
-1.1.08, marks the new beginning or "Next Stage...." 3.8. Werks is BORN!!
-Bought Stg 2 ABD CAI to complete setup(thanks Steve for installing and Eddie for selling it to me!!!) Ditch the factory cover, later gave to leo...
-Installed w/the help of Jamie jr/Steve Forge coolant cap and forge oil cap (oil cap only to be used @ show)
-Eddie hookin the sub-enclosure up with the spray-job @ the install of the JL audio W12
-Bought Revo Stg 1 from Dynamic Motorsports, then drove to Rapid parts and had Tim install my "Y" pipe delete and a neuspeed torque arm. Tim also screwed in the 2nd part of the Stg 1 CAI
-Yokohama's are still sitting in my room along with the alpine PDX amp
-Figured out that the 2 piece GHL exhaust was NOT really for my car (for a jetta) and looks like it was welded on to a 3' cat of no name...
-Bought the PCV fix from eurojet, installed @ driversport 2wks later...
-Looked on golfmk5 and vwvortex and found a APR cat-back ......... all the way in allentown, pa
-"Timmie da tooonnna" Installed the APR cat back @ driversport during the BBQ before h20...
-Bought the revo select switch at h20

.....let's see what 2009 hold for me :D

your euro switch will work, on the mk5s you need vagcom to disable the DRLs

hey kev, since your car is more performance oriented, i looked up those Mten-80b's and the offsets should allow you to run 245/35/18 inch tires on the 18x9's all round and you shouldn't rub one bit. now you could go for 255/35's if your brave :P

255/35/18 on 18x8.5s where done by GSR dan with no fender mods. to make sure it wont rub he removed the springs on his coils and lowered it (on the jack) till the stocks ran out of compression and he barley laid on the tire :)

I love to read, unfortunatly my only spare time is when im sitting on the can. It would take too long to read a book for 10 min a day :/ so for now I'll stick to PVW for reading, and eurotuner for wiping.
