As most of you might know by now, after two years of teasing by VOA and VWAG, it is finally officially confrimed that we will in FACT be getting the much desired, much talked about Scirocco.

Word is that the Scirocco will also carry on a more special level, more of the like of R32 territoty. Apparantly only 5,000 numbered units will be available as a 2010 model, but surprisingly expecting to reach showrooms as early as Spring of 2009.

Since the cat has been out of the bag for some time now, aftermarket leaders have already taken the initiative to showcase their personalization of the much anticipated new (or new-er for the oldschoolers?) model.

Sad day today. It has been officially released by VWoA that the Scirocco is NOT coming stateside after all the teasing and "forward" thinking. This is the one model that truly had the VW fans buzzing about and looking for the new true VW of the old days in the skin of a new toy. Hopefully, VW will still allow the US market to enjoy future models, a few of which will be US-specific only.

bah... would have been a good "add on" and would have sold alot in the states!!! Makes me sad that i didn't bring my s3 to the states, even tho the car came out in the us but in a 4door hatch version

If i could take VW AND KICK IT in the nuts! I WOULD!!! FOR NOT BRINGING THIS CAR STATE SIDE!!!!!!!!!
